The RIFL Act (House Bill 3320) is a ground-breaking piece of legislation that holds firearm manufacturers financially accountable for the public safety costs of gun violence.
The RIFL Act is supported by a large majority of voters across Illinois — including downstate. In fact, a new survey by Change Research found that 63% of downstate Illinois voters support the RIFL Act — and 50% of all gun owners support it!
Illinois can make history by being the first state to align the financial interests of firearm manufacturers with prevention and safety. We have the votes in Springfield to pass the bill, but first it needs to move out of committee.
Take Action: Urge Illinois lawmakers to pass the RIFL Act before the end of the legislative session on May 31. Find call scripts and contacts in this RIFL Act Resource.
